General Admin Improvements
Setup Enhancements
Simplified Custom Object Deletion: Before deleting an object, admins can now easily identify and remove all related dependencies (such as lookup fields or picklist dependencies) in one streamlined process.
Role-based sharing settings refinement: The standard group name "Roles and Subordinates" is being updated to "Roles and Internal Subordinates".
Flow and Automation Updates
Summer '25 brings significant improvements to Salesforce Flow, enhancing both usability and functionality:
“Get Related Records” Element (Beta): Building flows that need to retrieve related data is now more efficient. A new Get Related Records flow element (beta) lets you query related records in a single step instead of using multiple Get Records elements.

Time Data Type Support: Flows can now handle 'Time' as a separate data type from 'Date/Time'.

Enhanced Send Email Action in Flow: The Send Email flow action has been overhauled to simplify automation of emails. Summer ’25 organizes the action’s properties into clear sections (Receiver, Sender, Email Content) and introduces a rich text editor for composing email content within Flow Builder.

Modernized Flow Builder Canvas: Elements now appear as interactive cards with enhanced functionality, and users can zoom using mouse or trackpad.

Browsing resources: The new Entire Resource menu item on the resource selection menu streamlines how to select the entire resource that you’re currently browsing. Previously, to select the entire resource, you had to select the resource from the resource menu, and then click out of the menu without selecting a specific field.

See How Your Screen Looks in Real Time on Different Screen Sizes: Check how your screen appears on large, medium, or small devices with the Preview Size feature.

Analytics and Dashboard Controls
Refresh Individual Dashboard Widgets: Interactive dashboards get a boost with the general availability of widget-level refresh. Originally introduced in Spring '25 as a beta, this feature now allows users to refresh individual dashboard components—such as charts or tables—on demand, rather than reloading the entire dashboard. Although now generally available, it remains an opt-in feature that must be enabled in Setup.
How to Enable: Go to Setup → Reports and Dashboards Settings → Let users refresh individual widgets for dashboards
Org-Wide Email for Report & Dashboard Subscriptions: Summer ’25 lets admins designate a single organization-wide email address as the sender for all scheduled report and dashboard subscription emails.

Enhanced List View Dropdown Accessibility: A redesigned dropdown menu for List Views improves scrolling, recently viewed access, and direct search functionality, driving an intuitive, consistent UX across Salesforce.

Agentforce 2.0 – AI Enhancements for Sales & Service
Multilingual and “Deal Agent” Capabilities: The Summer ’25 release strengthens Salesforce’s Agentforce (AI-driven virtual agents) platform. The Sales AI Agentforce SDR (Sales Development Representative) agent now supports six languages – including French, German, Japanese and more – enabling outreach to engage prospects in their preferred language.
Permission Management Updates
Edit Permissions from Permission Set Summary: Managing permission sets is faster thanks to an improved summary view. Admins can now directly edit user permissions, object CRUD rights, field-level security, and custom permissions right from the Permission Set Summary screen.

Bulk Object Permission Updates: Salesforce now offers a one-stop solution to adjust object access across profiles and permission sets. From an object’s Access Summary in Object Manager, admins can mass-update that object’s permissions (Read, Edit, etc.) for all custom profiles and permission sets in one action.

Review Tab Settings in Access Summaries: A new Tabs section has been added to the View Summary area of permission sets. If you’ve configured tab settings for an object within a permission set, you’ll now see them listed here.

Conclusion
Each of these Summer ’25 enhancements is designed to give Salesforce admins more control, speed, and insight in their org. By leveraging these new features – from smarter Flow tools to tighter security management – admins can drive greater efficiency and deliver better experiences for users and customers alike.
